About Us
Data Savers, LLC is a Georgia corporation specializing in low-cost data recovery of hard drives and other media.
We are an offshoot of Atlanta Technical Specialists, Inc., a leading component-level computer repair company since 1987. Data Savers capitalizes on drive repair and recovery techniques developed over many years to bring its customers affordable, high-quality services and solutions.
Our new office is located in northeast metro Atlanta in the Regency Centre across from Mercer University, which is readily accessible from I-85 and I-285 (note the red dot below). The address is 3104 Mercer University Drive, Suite 220, Atlanta, GA 30341.
About the Owner
Jon Yaeger has more than 20 years of computer repair experience. During that time, he had clients who needed drive recovery services. Usually, they had to send their drives to California and pay a lot of money to get their data back.
Jon figured there must be a better way to recover data without spending a fortune. His research and efforts culminated in the establishment of Data Savers, LLC as a low cost provider of data recovery services.
Before starting Data Savers, LLC, Jon Yaeger founded Atlanta Technical Specialists, Inc. (ATS) in 1987, a multi-million dollar service and sales provider for Apple brand and other computer equipment in the Southeast. ATS's customer base of 6,000 clients included AT&T, BellSouth, CDC, Citibank, Colgate-Palmolive, Dow Jones, Dupont, Exxon, Georgia-Pacific, Macys, MCI, Motorola, NASA, NationsBank, Price-Waterhouse, Proctor & Gamble, Schlumberger, Scientific Atlanta, Sprint, & WTBS.
While at ATS Jon developed innovative component-level hardware repair techniques, and turned a start-up computer operation into the leading Apple® computer repair center in the Southeast.
The assets of ATS were sold in 1999, and a new company, Atlanta Mac Service, was started in 2000. Atlanta Mac Service continues to provide consulting, repair, and configuration services to both Macintosh® and Microsoft Windows® clients.
Yaeger's additional experience includes high-speed plastics production, SMT electronic product design and repair, and HVAC sales and technical support.
Yaeger has diplomas from the Taft School and Emory University. As a Rotarian, he abides by their credo of "service above self."
